Lund Stem Cell Center is based at Lund University in Sweden, located within the University's Biomedical Centre (BMC) and in close proximity to the Skåne University Hospital.

Lund University is located in the city of Lund, close to Malmö (Sweden's third largest city) in the south of Sweden. This part of Sweden is very close to Copenhagen in Denmark.

There are several different ways to travel to Lund. A number of these are listed below:


By Plane

From Copenhagen Airport - the closest international airport to Lund

Copenhagen Airport Kastrup (CPH) is Denmark's main international airport serving the entire Øresund Region and larger parts of southern Sweden, including Lund. A joint train service system between Denmark and southern Sweden ensures convenient and comfortable travelling from Kastrup directly to Lund in less than one hour. The trains leave every 20 minutes, a one-way-ticket costs 135 SEK (15 Euro) and can be purchased via the Skånetrafiken website (external link).

Please note that there may be a passport control at the first stop (Hyllie) on the Swedish side. Make sure to always bring a valid passport or ID-card when travelling between Denmark and Sweden.

From Malmö Airport

Malmö Airport (MMX, previously called Sturup Airport) is located 30 km south of Lund. Malmö Airport serves 40 national and international destinations, including Stockholm and London-Stansted. Airport coaches (Flygbussarna) to and from Lund leave every 45 minutes at Lund University Hospital and Lund central station. A return-ticket costs 189 SEK (21 Euro) and can be purchased via the Flygbussarna website (external link).

Transportation from Malmö Airport to Lund by taxi takes approximately 25 minutes and costs about 450 SEK (50 Euro). Taxi Skåne, telephone: +46 46 330 330


By Train

Lund Central train station is less than 2 kilometers away from Lund Stem Cell Center. Bus line 1 (direction Östra Torn, departing from stop K at Clemenstorget to stop Fysiologen) stops by BMC, or alternatively, several bus lines go to Lund University Hospital (Lunds universitetsjukhuset) on a regular basis.


By Taxi

From Malmö to Lund by taxi, the cost is approximately SEK 350. The trip takes approximately 20 minutes. Taxis normally accept all major credit cards. Taxi Skåne, telephone: +46 46 330 330
