Flow Cytometry Sorting Course - MEFLCS1
Interested in gaining practical knowledge of droplet based cell sorting (FACS) that can be directly transferred to research questions?
Then join the new semester's cell sorting course hosted by the Research School in Stem Cell Biology, the Lund University Neuroscience Graduate School, the FACS Core Facility at Lund Stem Cell Center, and the MultiPark Cellomics and Flow Cytometry Core Facility!
Flow Cytometry, sorting course, MEFLCS1
1.5 credits, Third cycle | 13 - 17 January, 2025
The aim of this 3-day theoretical course is to provide participants practical knowledge of droplet based cell sorting (FACS) that can be directly transferred to research questions:
- Theory behind cell sorting
- Start-up, shut-down and quality control of a cell sorter
- Sorting of beads and cells to fit different types of experiments
- Troubleshooting, quality control and validation of cell sorting
- Doing a risk assessment
The application period closes on 17 December, 2024. All are welcome to apply, please be aware that the number of participants is limited. Preference is given to PhD students and postdoctoral fellows who are affiliated with these networks, and to active FACS users.
