Guest Talk by Prof. Konstantin Khodosevich: "Developmental Mechanisms in Schizophrenia"
Join us for a special talk by Professor Konstantin Khodosevich from the Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC) at the University of Copenhagen. This event takes place in conjunction with the PhD defense of Jonas Fritze, supervised by Associate Professor Henrik Ahlenius.
When: Monday, November 25, 2024 | 15:00–16:00
Where: Segergfalksalen, BMC A10
Talk Title: 'Developmental Mechanisms in Schizophrenia'
Speaker: Professor Konstantin Khodosevich from the Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC) at the University of Copenhagen
Professor Khodosevich will present his research on "Developmental Mechanisms in Schizophrenia," exploring critical questions about brain development and neurodevelopmental disorders. His lab focuses on how neuronal specification, positioning, and circuit formation occur in the developing brain, and what goes wrong in disorders such as schizophrenia, autism, and epilepsy. Using advanced single-cell and spatial omics techniques, the Khodosevich lab investigates molecular disruptions in both rodent models and human tissue to understand how genetic and environmental factors influence brain vulnerability.
Join this exciting opportunity to gain insight into Professor Khodosevich's research on brain development and its implications for understanding neurodevelopmental disorders.
