This year, the foundation, which supports research with "high innovation potential and relevance for society in the near term," awarded 3 million SEK to Malin Parmar, Professor of Cellular Neuroscience at Lund University, for her project TREAT-PD, and 3 million SEK to Sandra Lindstedt, Professor of Clinical Sciences at Lund University and senior consultant in cardiothoracic surgery at Skåne University Hospital. Sandra Lindstedt's project focuses on improving lung transplants using innovative stem cell strategies.
The event held also featured presentations from leading researchers, including Anna Falk, Professor at Lund Stem Cell Center and Director of the Development Centre for Advanced Therapies at Lund University (LU-ATMP), who shared insights from her work within advanced therapy development.
